Scholarships

Damascus College offers four separate scholarship programs for current Damascus students.

Applications open in early September and close in mid October each year.  This web page will be updated with other open and close dates as they become available each year.

Damascus College Internal Scholarship - NOW OPEN

One in each category of Academic, Sport and the Arts. The eligible candidate is selected from students going into Years 8 to 12.

Value: $2,000 towards the fees for the following year.

Applications are NOW OPEN.  2017 Applications close on Friday 13th October 2017.

Dorothy Griffin Scholarship - NOW OPEN

Contributed by the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea for one boy and one girl going into Year 11.

Value: $2,000 awarded to the successful students.

Applications are NOW OPEN.  2017 Applications close on Friday 13th October 2017.

Dorothy Irene Ellis-Thomas Scholarship - NOW OPEN

Contributed by the Dorothy Irene Ellis-Thomas Foundation to one boy and one girl completing his or her VCE or equivalent who is entering or pursuing a course at a University or other tertiary education institution.

Value: $2,000 each.

Dr Yvonne Aitken Scholarship

Contributed by the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea, this scholarship is awarded to the Dux of the College to support a hard working student with future tertiary learning. The disbursement is determined annually but has generally been in the vicinity of $3,000.
